Two new partners at Prager Dreifuss

We have welcomed Dr Andrea Stäubli and Mark Meili to our partnership as of 1 January 2024. Congratulations on your election.

Andrea Stäubli completed her legal education at the University of Zurich in 2009 with a lic. iur degree and obtained her doctorate in insurance law in 2019. She was awarded the Prix d'Excellence of the Swiss Association for Tort Law and Insurance Law for her dissertation (grade summa cum laude). Admitted to the bar in 2013, she joined Prager Dreifuss in 2017 as a member of the Dispute Resolution Team and also specialises in insurance and reinsurance. In winter 2022/23, she completed a stage as a foreign associate at a New York law firm.

Andrea advises and represents Swiss and foreign clients in court and enforcement proceedings and deals with national and international insurance cases. She is recognised by Legal 500 as a key name in our firm and was named as a "rising star" in Swiss insurance law.

Andrea regularly publishes in the field of insurance law, in particular she is a contributor to the new edition of the "Basler Kommentar VVG", the leading Swiss commentary on the Swiss Insurance Contract Act. She is furthermore a member of the Organizing Committee of the AIDA Swiss Chapter which organizes events to enhance the dialogue amongst insurance practitioners, law firms and science with respect to insurance and reinsurance topics.

Mark Meili was admitted to the bar in 2013 and joined Prager Dreifuss as an associate in the same year. He has also gained professional experience at an alternative investment fund in London. He obtained his Master's degree in Law and Economics in St. Gallen and San Diego and his LL.M. in New York. He publishes regularly and is also a member of the editorial team of legalis brief – Fachdienst Gesellschaft, a Swiss corporate law newsletter.

Mark advises companies and start-ups on contractual and corporate law matters. He specialises in corporate finance, enforcement of claims, restructuring and insolvency proceedings. The Expert Guides recognise Mark as a "rising star" in corporate, M&A and private equity in our country. Mark is described as a key lawyer of the team and "sharp and highly qualified" by Legal 500.
