Prager Dreifuss advises a founder and seller on the sale of a majority stake in Acronis AG to EQT

On 7 August 2024, Acronis AG announced that EQT, the largest European private equity firm, will acquire a majority stake in Acronis AG (domiciled in Schaffhausen, Switzerland), a strongly positioned cybersecurity and data protection software platform. The founders, management, and existing investors will remain significant minority shareholders. The transaction is pending customary regulatory approvals and is anticipated to be closed in the first to second quarter of 2025.
