Marino Baldi
Senior Counsel
Dr Marino Baldi advises on Swiss and international business law, particularly antitrust and competition law, the law of international trade relations, international investments and on European single market law. As the Swiss ambassador and a member of SECO’s Board of Directors, he led many international trade negotiations and played a critically important part in the current competition and single market law. He was a member of the Swiss Competition Commission and teaches European and international business law at the University of Zurich.

Prof. Dr. Urs Bertschinger has broad experience in financial market regulation and financial products. He advises clients on all types of corporate transactions as well as on general corporate and commercial matters. Urs Bertschinger is an issuers’ advisor registered by Swiss SIX Exchange Regulation. He is also engaged as an arbitrator in commercial arbitration. He was seconded to the London firm of Slaughter and May in 2003.

Dr Roland Böhi is a member of the management committee and head of the Tax Team. He operates in all aspects of tax law. The expertise he has acquired over many years includes international tax law, M&A, corporate finance, real estate, Swiss and international corporate tax (including transfer pricing) and tax consultancy for private clients (including family offices). Roland Böhi advises a broad range of corporate clients from various industry sectors as well as private clients. He also specializes in corporate and commercial law.
Hans-Ulrich Brunner

Dr Hans-Ulrich Brunner is the head of the Real Estate & Construction Team and advises both individual and corporate clients. He focuses particularly on private real estate and construction law (service contracts, law of mandate and real estate transactions), and has advised and represented owners, planners and designers and contractors for many years. Hans-Ulrich Brunner also has broad experience in litigation as a defence counsel in construction-related and general public liability and insurance cases.

Dr Christian Casanova works mainly in the areas of dispute resolution and insurance & reinsurance. His work includes pre-trial advice and representation of Swiss and international clients in court and before arbitration tribunals as well as the protection and recovery of assets in insolvency and attachment proceedings. In addition to civil and commercial disputes, he focuses on insurance and reinsurance cases, asset recovery and real estate.
Livio Chiesa

Livio Chiesa works as a trainee in Prager Dreifuss’s Zurich office, focusing on corporate & M&A and dispute resolution. He is mainly engaged in contract and corporate law and in insolvency law and debt rehabilitation. He works for Swiss and international companies. In a previous role, he was assistant to a lawyer with his own commercial law practice. When he has completed his traineeship, he will sit the bar exam.
Gaudenz F. Domenig

Gaudenz Domenig represents Swiss and foreign clients before Swiss courts and Swiss and international arbitration tribunals. He has proven experience of litigation in all areas of commercial law, including directors’, officers’ and auditors’ liability claims, international legal assistance and bankruptcy proceedings. Gaudenz Domenig also appears before state courts and Federal courts in New York. He has extensive experience in corporate mergers. He acts as a consultant and member of the board of directors for companies in a wide range of sectors.
Nicolas Dommer

Dr Nicolas Dommer advises clients on all insurance issues and represents them in court and enforcement proceedings. His focus is on processing complex losses, reinsurance and insurance supervisory matters. Thanks to his doctoral thesis, he also has in-depth knowledge of Swiss data protection legislation. Before joining Prager Dreifuss, Nicolas Dommer worked as a lawyer in a commercial law firm, advising banks and insurance companies on regulatory issues.

Urs Feller

Dr Urs Feller is head of the Dispute Resolution Team. He acts in complex proceedings before Swiss courts, arbitration tribunals and administrative authorities, including criminal proceedings. He advises clients on contractual and commercial matters, particularly in the area of banking, insurance and compliance, and in administrative and judicial assistance. Urs Feller specializes in insolvency proceedings, restructuring and asset recovery as well as inheritance proceedings. He also advises clients in family and inheritance law matters, such as estate and succession planning, including the execution of wills. He conducts corresponding proceedings for private individuals, trustees and family offices.

Prof. Philipp Zurkinden heads the Competition Team. He advises Swiss and international clients in antitrust proceedings (agreements affecting competition, abuse and mergers) and on state aid law. He has in-depth knowledge of EU competition law and therefore often works on multi-jurisdictional proceedings with established international law firms. He is also engaged in compliance consultancy. Before joining Prager Dreifuss, he worked at SECO on drafting the Cartel Act still currently in force and directed the training of the Competition Commission Secretariat in the new legislation. Philipp Zurkinden teaches competition law at the University of Basel.

She mainly works in the field of antitrust law and supports the team in antitrust proceedings (agreements affecting competition, abuse and mergers) of national and international clients. Previously, she completed one-year traineeships at the Secretariat of the Competition Commission and at the Federal Administrative Court, Division II, and gained experience at a civil court. Parallel to her studies, she worked at that time for lawyers and tax experts as well as for entrepreneurs in an assistant function. She will sit the bar exam in 2021.
